Buying

For small amounts of books: (one box or less), feel free to come by the store anytime during business hours.

Books not purchased will be donated if not collected in an appropriate amount of time.

For larger amounts of books: please take photos of your stacks with the spines out and email them to us at info@thescribebookstore.com.

We will reply with our interest, an appraisal, or next steps.

Mylar

Archival protection (the plastic coverings on all our books), called mylar, is offered for books with dust jackets for $5.00 each.

For older books without dust jackets, we offer another, thicker type of mylar that is customized and fit by hand to the unique shape of your book for $10.00 each.

Appraisals

Appraisal services are offered for a minimum fee for large collections, or we can assess smaller collections on the spot for free. 

Book Repairs

Book repairs are available at a fee. We can repair cracked hinges and minor cloth defects. For books requiring extensive repair, we can recommend a suitable bindery.

Holds & Shipping

We will hold books for up to two weeks before re-shelving. We are happy to provide worldwide shipping on order of $100 and above.
